keutamaan istighfar

Dikisahkan seorang yang shaleh bernama syekh ahmad bin hambal yang ketika itu merasa ingin pergi ke irak, entah kenapa beliau ingib sekali pergi ke sana padahal tidak ada niat sama sekali.. hari demi hari berlalu akhirnya syekh ahmad bin hambal memutuskan untuk pergi ke irak. ketika dalam perjalanan tersebut, malam pun tiba, syekh ahmad bin hambal beristirahat dulu di mesjid terdekat, setelah menunaikan sholat, beliau bermalam di mesjid tersebut, tiba-tiba marbot mesjid yang ada disana mengusir beliau, namun beliau ijin untuk bermalam disana.. marbot mesjid itu tetap tidak mengijinkan beliau hingga marbot mesjid mengusirnya dengan kasar. beliau pun pergi dengan sabar tanpa emosi, memang marbot tersebut tidak mengetahui siapa beliau. tak jauh dari sana, ada seseorang yang berjualan martabak, ia pun mempersilahkan syekh untuk mampir di warungnya, ia membuatkan beliau martabak. dalam proses membuat martabak, ia selalu mengucapkan istighfar, dari membuat adonan ia ucap istighfat, memasukan cokelat ucap istighfar, segala macam perbuatan ia iringi dengan istighfar. syekh ahmad bin hambal memperhatikan, dan bertanya kepada tukang martabak tersebut. "kenapa setiap engkau melakukan sesuatu selalu diiiringi dengan istighfar", tukang martabak oun menjawab, "alhamdulillah, sejak saya rajin baca istighfar, semua hal yang saya minta dari Allah, semuanya terkabul, kecuali satu yang belum", syekh ahmad bertanya kembali, "apa yang belum Allaj kabulkan untukmu?", tukang martabak menjawab, "saya ingin bertemu dengan syekh ahmad bin hambal. syekh ahmad terkejut seraya berkata," maha besar Allah yang maha mengabulkan permohonan hambanya, akulah Syekh ahmad bin hambal", tukan martabak terkejut sambil memeluk dan mengucap syukur kepada Allah SWT.
